The ROSETTA-ICE team is once again heading back to Antarctica to continue mapping the Ross Ice Shelf. This year, ESR Research Associate Susan Howard will take part in the fieldwork. She will be posting about her work and experiences there in the “Notes from the Field” blog. This year, a class of 5th graders from Henry David Thoreau Elementary School in Kirkland, WA will be following her. A nice summary of the ROSETTA-ICE project can be found in the “Antarctic ice-mapping project will fly for the last time in October” article from Phys.org.
