Congratulations to Dr. Gary Lagerloef on being named a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and for being named the recipient of the 2018 Verner Suomi Award! He was acknowledged for his outstanding, decades-long leadership in advancing remote sensing technology for ocean salinity, which led to the groundbreaking Aquarius satellite mission. The awards ceremony took place on January 10th, 2018 in Austin, Texas.
