Eric Johnson is a native of the Pacific Northwest who never outgrew his
early fascination with tidepools and flowing water. He received his
B.S. in Physics and Oceanography from the University of Washington in
1979, and his Ph.D. in Oceanography from Scripps Institution of
Oceanography in 1987. Employed at Earth and Space Research since 1997
he lives in North Seattle; he and his wife Mora have two daughters, one
living. His outside interests include various crafts such as
woodworking, jewelry, and stained glass, and outdoor activities like
hiking, sailing, and target shooting. Needless to say he doesn't have
enough time for any of it.
