GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES

Students who are interested in graduate opportunities that include research in polar oceanography can obtain further information through the COAS Graduate Programs web page, or by contacting prospective advisors with polar interests. Graduate research opportunities in COAS depend not only on the applicant's satisfying the College entrance requirements, but also on availability of an advisor's financial support.

Occasional opportunities exist for summer internship positions for junior and senior undergraduate students. These are excellent opportunities to experience life in a research environment, before committing to the several years of graduate study and research that are necessary for a career in this field. Information of these programs can also be obtained from the Student Services Office at (541)737-5188 or e-mail at student_adviser@oce.orst.edu.
